Recipe: Brie on a Stick

Made these little guys a while ago and they were soo yummy!  We might do without the stick next time so you can just plop them in your mouth one after the other.

  • 2 sheets puff pastry, thawed but still cold
  • 4 oz brie cheese, cold
  • 1/3 cup fig jam
  • 1 large egg, beaten with a splash of milk
  • coarse sea salt
How To:
  1. Cut puff pastry into 2 1/4" tall and 3" wide pieces.
  2. Combine milk and egg, beat.
  3. Brush 1/2 the rectangles with egg wash.
  4. Add popsicle stick to centre of these.
  5. Place a small piece of brie on top of each.
  6. Top with 1/2 teaspoon of jam.
  7. Take the other rectangles and top these ones.  Use a fork to press down edges to stick together.
  8. Place on cookie sheet and sprinkle with coarse salt.
  9. Bake at 375F for 12 to 14 minues.
  10. Remove and let cool completely.
