Recipe: Christmas Bark

For the second year in a row I have made "Christmas Bark" for our open house.  Both times my guests have eaten every last bit.  Seriously, the bowl gets CLEANED OUT.  It is quite delicious!


  • 1 cup margarine
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 40 saltine crackers
  • 1 pkg chocolate chips

  1. Line a cookie sheet with tinfoil.
  2. Lay crackers evenly on the cookie sheet.
  3. Combine sugar and margarine in a saucepan.  Heat to boil.  Remove from heat and pour over crackers.
  4. Bake for 10 minutes in 350F oven.
  5. Immediately sprinkle with chocolate chips and spread over entire cookie sheet as it melts.
  6. Allow to cool completely before breaking into pieces.
