Recipe: BBQ Pineapple Pulled Pork Sandwiches

BBQ Pineapple Bulled Pork Sandwiches w/ green beans and green mashed potatoes (yes, our mashed potatoes were green because it was St. Patrick's Day!)

Have I told you I love my crock pot ! The things that come out of that thing WOW!  I had initially combined all these ingredients into a freezer bag and kept there for those days where I want something I can just throw in the crock pot and go to work.  The day came to use it and everybody loved how it turned out....such a simple recipe too!


  • 1 pork roast (or shoulder)
  • 1 can of crushed pineapple
  • 1 bottle of BBQ sauce
  • 1 oz bourbon
  • sandwich buns
  1. Simply combine all ingredients together. If you are freezing it, put it all together in a large freezer bag.  When ready to use, throw it right in the crockpot.
  2. Cook on low for about 8 hours. If isn't going into the crockpot frozen, you may want to decrease the time by an hour or so just in case.
  3. When ready take a fork and shred roast in pieces, and stir.
  4. Throw onto sandwich buns and enjoy! These would also be good as "tacos" with some coleslaw.
