Recipe: Thumbprint Cookies


You're gonna love these! They taste like shortbread cookies but BETTER!


·         10 tbsp margarine

·         ½ cup icing sugar

·         ¼ tsp salt

·         1 tsp vanilla extract

·         1 ¼ cup flour

·         Semi-sweet chocolate (for melting), mini-eggs



1.       Preheat oven to 350F.

2.       Beat together margarine, sugar, vanilla, and salt until smooth. Beat in flour slowly until dough forms.

3.       Roll teaspoons of dough into balls. Place on un-greased cookie sheet and bake for 10 minutes.

4.       Remove from oven and press thumb prints into center of balls.

5.       Place back in oven for 7-9 minutes.  Allow to cool completely on rack.

6.       Melt chocolate in microwave. Allow to cool slightly then pour with teaspoon into thumbprints.

7.       Add a chocolate mini-egg on top.
